Every ranking on this site is produced by a deterministic, openly documented scoring algorithm — not editorial opinion, affiliate revenue, or PR relationships. Here is exactly how it works.

Step 1 — Base Score (use-case or service weights)

base_score = (speed × wspeed) + (streaming × wstream) + (gaming × wgame) + (privacy × wpriv) + (price × wprice)

Each raw metric is scored 1–10 (10 = best in class). Weights differ per use case and per service so that the ranking reflects what actually matters for that specific user need.

Step 2 — Country Modifier (applied when ranking for a specific country)
